Balamory Express is featured in the second series

The Grumpy engine driver pictured above, is in real life Dave Moseley, the engineer in charge of keeping Mull Railway fully operational.  Lotti is the name of the Steam Locomotive (Lady of  the Isles )  The Narrow Gauge railway runs all Summer between our main ferry terminal at Craignure and Torosay Castle.  The railway starts its journeys about five minutes walk away from the terminal and returns, at regular intervals back to Craignure.  The timetable always alows plenty of time for people to catch the next ferry, if they are returning to Oban.  The railway is normally powered by steam, however, in quieter times of the year, the service is diesel.  To see more about this wonderful railway click here  Lotti has just had a book written about her by Chris Audry, the son of the famouse Rev.
