The doctor's surgery and dentists are to be found on a housing
estate at the top of town called Rockfield. The doctors
number is 01688 302013 and the dentists is 01688 302105 We
also have a cottage hospital in Salen.
Looking for Tourist information in town.
The tourist information centre is at the very end of the Main
Street, underneath 'Posh nosh' cafe. Its a white building
which also houses the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry Office. The
Tourist information centre is only open during the summer months,
although the Ferry office is manned all year. During the
winter contact the Tourist Office in Craignure on 01680 812377
Looking for the police The police
station is situated at the top of the town, on the way to the golf
course. The station is open during most working days and
normal working hours. Co-ordination is via Oban and often
the phone is diverted there for action. The Tobermory number

Looking for activities for children. '
Tobermory Childrens Farm--walking distance from town. Paint
a pot' takes place up at Starfish Ceramics in the Baliscate
Estate. This activity moves to Glengorm Castle after
Christmas 2003. Chocolate workshops at the Chocolate Factory
on Main street. Round Tobermory quiz (8-12 years) from The
Gallery (old church) in the centre of Main Street. Play
park, at the top of the hill up past the western Isles Hotel.
Looking for historic information
The Mull museum is next to the bank on Main Street. only
open during the summer months. For family histories and a
Mull genealogical database go to Mull

Looking for the Library The
Library is housed up on the top of the hill at the 'County
Buildings' Its open on Thursdays 2.30-5pm and 6pm - 8pm and
Friday 10am to 12pm. The rest of the time it exists in its
mobile format, travelling around the island.
Looking for citizen's advice. The
C.A.B. office is at the end of Main Street towards the Ferry
office. The centre is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Looking for information about the community
and its voluntary sector. Mull has a very effective
Community Trust based on the second floor of Royal Buildings close

Looking for our administration building
Argyll and Bute's offices are on the top of the hill on
Breadalbane Street. Also housed here are the registrar's
office and wedding sweet.
