situated at the far end of the town on the pier. Here, the friendly
local staff can assist you with your travel arrangements
and advise on hopscotch tickets to the other islands of
the Hebrides. Reservations can also be made over the
telephone. The office is open Monday to Friday 9.00 am
to 5.30 and is open at the weekend during the summer

Mackays Garage is a family run business
situated on the Ledaig Carpark in Tobermory. Turn first
right at the bottom of the hill as you enter the town.
Car hire and van hire is available, it is always
advisable to book in advance. Mackays also has an MOT
testing station and carries out servicing and car and
commercial vehicle repairs. Mackays have a very good
reputation for quality workmanship and also a friendly

Tobermory Chocolate Shop |

Tobermory Chocolate was started in 1991.
The building had been used as a stone workshop for years
and was derelict. In 2003 they moved premises to 56/57
Main street. The shop is bigger but still full of cards,
tins, boxes, gifts and the usual bits and pieces. They
now have a little Cafe and serve Teas, Coffee and
drinking chocolate as well as cakes and pastries. |

of the town, on the way to the golf course on Erray

Tobermory High School is a fully
comprehensive 5-18 school. Pupils in the primary
department mostly live in Tobermory. In 2006/7, pupils
joined the secondary department from primary education
in Tobermory, Dervaig, Ulva, Salen, Lochdonhead,
Kilchoan, Lochaline and Bunessan. THS Press, written by
pupils and staff, offers a glimpse into the life of the
school and is published approximately eight times a
year.
