The Tobermory Virtual Tour is comprised of panoramic photographs from the area around Tobermory, from the beautiful waterfront of Tobermory, to Glengorm Castle and then to the volcanic plug of S'Airde Beinn.
Click on the these red links on the google map above and they will take you to the location where you have the option to open the 360 degree panoramas of stunning views. Alternatively you can click on the links below.

1. Tobermory Waterfront is where you will find most of the shops and restaurants. The Tourist Information Centre, the Calmac ferry office and the new harbour building are also to be found here.

2. Upper Tobermory is the ideal place to go to photograph the bay. There is a stunning panorama looking out to sea. Inland there are views on to Argyll Terrace where the first houses in the town were built in 1788

3. Breadalbane Street is where many of the Bed and Breakfast accommodations are located and also the world renowned Highland Cottage Hotel and Restaurant. Local painter and photographer Angus Stewart also has his gallery on Breadalbane Street and he sells a wide range of paintings, photographs and also Balamory prints and cards.

4. Tobermory Golf Course has got to be one of the most picturesque golf courses in the world. Click here to go to the golfcourse page.

5. Tobermory Campsite is situated at Newdale just a mile outside of Tobermory. Click here to go through to their website.

6. S'Airde Beinn is a highly recommended short walk but muddy in parts. Follow the B8073 from Tobermory along Mishnish Lochs for about 3 miles until you come to a ruined cottage. Park here, go over a stile and follow the track up behind the cottage and head for the gate. Go through the gate and keep on the track where you are constantly in view of the summit of the volcanic hill, S'Airde Beinn with it's hidden crater loch. For guided walks around Tobermory go to the Mull Magic website.

7. Glengorm Castle (Front -View) is run by Tom and Marjorie Nelson and family and is a thriving rural community, home to Hebridean sheep, Scottish Black Faced Ewes and Highland Cattle. It offers 4-star bed and breakfast accommodation - as well as an original walled garden which acts as a nursery and producer of fresh food for the local hotels and restaurants. Click here to go to the Glengorm Castle website

8. Glengorm Castle (Rear-view) There are many fabulous walks around the Glengorm Estate with it's stunning views, medieval forts and standing stones. For more details on the short walk out to Dun Ara click here.

9. Highland Games are a very popular traditional summer event all over the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.  Few, however, can compete in terms of setting with those set in Mull with its beautiful setting overlooking The Sound of Mull, Morvern and Ardnamurchan.

To be able to view these images you ideally need  Netscape Navigator series 4+ or Internet Explorer 5 installed.   Also you should be accessing the Internet with an up-to-date modem  56+.  You can get these images on slower connections, however, you have to wait quite a while for them to load.

With an average connection the images should take about 20 seconds for the first one to load.  After that, the next ones will take less time as certain parts of the system will have pre-loaded.  If you have difficulties with any of the requirements above there is the option to view each image by itself, without any movement.
