from the beautiful waterfront of Tobermory, to
Glengorm Castle and then to the volcanic plug
of S'Airde Beinn.

1.
Tobermory Waterfront is where you will
find most of the shops and restaurants. The
Tourist Information Centre, the Calmac ferry
office and the new harbour building are also
to be found here.

Upper Tobermory is the ideal place to go
to photograph the bay. There is a stunning
panorama looking out to sea. Inland there are
views on to Argyll Terrace where the first
houses in the town were built in 1788

Breadalbane Street is where many of the
Bed and Breakfast accommodations are located
and also the world renowned Highland Cottage
Hotel and Restaurant. Local painter and
photographer Angus Stewart also has his
gallery on Breadalbane Street and he sells a
wide range of paintings, photographs and also
Balamory prints and cards.

S'Airde
Beinn is a highly recommended short walk
but muddy in parts. Follow the B8073 from
Tobermory along Mishnish Lochs for about 3
miles until you come to a ruined cottage. Park
here, go over a stile and follow the track up
behind the cottage and head for the gate. Go
through the gate and keep on the track where
you are constantly in view of the summit of
the volcanic hill, S'Airde Beinn with it's
hidden crater loch. For guided walks around

Glengorm
Castle (Front -View) is run by Tom and
Marjorie Nelson and family and is a thriving
rural community, home to Hebridean sheep,
Scottish Black Faced Ewes and Highland Cattle.
It offers 4-star bed and breakfast
accommodation - as well as an original walled
garden which acts as a nursery and producer of
fresh food for the local hotels and

Highland Games are a
very popular traditional summer event all over the
Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Few, however, can
compete in terms of setting with those set in Mull
with its beautiful setting overlooking The Sound of Mull, Morvern and Ardnamurchan.
To be able to
view these images you ideally need
Netscape Navigator series 4+ or
Internet Explorer 5 installed. Also you
should be accessing the Internet with an
up-to-date modem 56+. You can get these
images on slower connections, however, you
have to wait quite a while for them to
load.
With an average
connection the images should take about 20
seconds for the first one to load. After
that, the next ones will take less time as
certain parts of the system will have
pre-loaded. If you have difficulties with any
of the requirements above there is the option
to view each image by itself, without any
movement.
