Registrars can now conduct weddings outwith their marriage
suite, at pre-determined licensed venues. This may be outside, with an
alternative location in the event of inclement weather. Or, within period
licensed premises, for example hotels, castles or country house. However,
we must stress that it is essential that discussion about location and
venue is made at an early stage in the planning. Your wedding is unique
and special, as is each wedding venue. Careful advanced planning can make
a very special day memorable for the right reasons!
