The Mull Museum

The Mull Museum is situated on the centre of the main street of Tobermory, close to the bank. It is run by volunteers, most of whom have extensive local knowledge. Although the museum is only quite small, it is packed with artefacts of Mull's history. READ MORE

Baliscate Standing Stones

Baliscate was one of the early settlements before the village of Tobermory was created in 1788 by the British Fisheries Society which bought the estate from the Duke of Argyll and the Standing Stones can be located up the lane behind the Isle of Mull Pottery. READ MORE

Aros Park

Aros Park is one of the most attractive features in the Tobermory surrounds. The park entrance is about half a mile from the centre of town, however, it can also be reached by a very scenic footpath starting at the car park at Ledaig next to MacGochan's pub. READ MORE

History of Tobermory

Tobermory derives its name from the gaelic 'Tobar Mhoire' meaning the well of Mary. Mary's Well and Mary's Chapel dated back to the Medieval period, the water from the well was said to possess medicinal properties. READ MORE
