Tobermory Golf Course view

Generally recognized as one of the outstanding nine-hole golf courses in Scotland Tobermory golf course enjoys a hill and heather terrain high on the hill to the north of the town. Originally an 18 hole layout it became an nine-holer in the late 1940s when man and nature united to create an outstanding and challenging course with quite exceptional views across Tobermory Bay, the Sound of Mull, Morvern, Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan and, on a clear day, the hills of Rhum and Eigg.  A previous owner of the Western Isles Hotel cautioned “beware the view; it can add strokes to your handicap.”

It is a challenging course in every way and until 2015 it had never been played to its par of 64, when it was achieved by one of a number outstanding juniors coming through the ranks.

This is a course to be enjoyed at leisure.   Green fees can be paid by Honesty Box in the well appointed club house or at Browns Shop in Tobermory Main Street. We urge you to come to Tobermory and play this wonderful course.
